First World War at Croft

Sat 14 May 2016
10:00-17:00
This year, we’re uncovering some of the stories of Croft during 1916.
Who was still out on the Western Front fighting for King and country? What was life like for those who were living in the castle and its local parish? See memorabilia, letters to the home front, clothing displays, photography dating and spring time estate management and marvel at the strength of survival of those who were living and coping with rationing back home.

World War Two weekend at Croft

Sat 04 Jun 2016
10:00-17:00
As part of Croft’s twentieth century story we bring to life Croft during the Second World War.
Join us for home front camaraderie with vintage wartime vehicles, stalls, displays, music, clothing, memorabilia and more over the weekend. Families can visit the Anderson shelter in the garden, try ration recipes in the tea-room and pick up a memento of their visit in the shop.

Things to Do

The perfect place to explore the Herefordshire countryside, driving, biking, riding or on foot with wonderful walks waiting in rolling fields or in the surrounding woodlands. Leave the hustle and bustle behind and forget about your hectic life and enjoy the rural living on this wonderful farm.

We have beautiful rural walks on our doorstep taking in local wildlife, handsome oak trees and amusing livestock. Our landscapes change through the seasons, from frosty lanes in winter, to buttercup fields in May, to golden hay bales in the summer to abundant hedgerow harvesting opportunities in Autumn.
